Renovation of server hall process water tanks
We were commissioned to renovate 4 process water tanks for a server hall. The company wanted to renovate as a preventive measure to ensure the availability of water and saw it as an investment in its sustainability efforts. The company had also calculated that maintenance is significantly cheaper than downtime.
Two of the tanks were affected by rust and for one of them the problem was acute.
Renovations
When it comes to the renovation of process water tanks, there are no regulatory requirements for water supply. However, it was extremely important for the company to secure and maintain operations. During the renovation, we were able to solve the water supply problem by alternating with the other 3 tanks.
The renovation followed the normal process:
- Visual inspection and underwater robot inspection
- We clean the inside of the tank.
- The surfaces are coated with primer and epoxy.
